You’re supposed to write this sort of letter to Father Christmas, not to Gordon Brown.

I would like you to ban airbrushing within magazines. I am a teenager living in the midlands, I am 15 years old, and I know many people(boys and girls, including myself) who are effected everyday by these perfect images of people. I know that this makes young people wish to be somthing that is unatatainable. This greatly lowers self esteem within the teenage population, and this has been proved to be a direct link to teenage pregnancy. I personaly think this is a very serious issue that must be addressed. if you aggree with me, please sign this petition.

I don’t care how old you are, or what you’re asking for a ban on – you are writing a petition to the Prime Minister. It wouldn’t kill you to check the spelling and grammar in your petition, for Glod’s sake.

It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time to pick at the Reject Bin and see what the British Government had too much common sense to allow the public to sign.

          by Jonathan Hall (rejected)

This elite ninja force (which should be named NINJA: National Interest Ninja Japanese-y Awesomeness) would take on most of the killing people-type jobs the armed forces have to do so they could concentrate on shouting at people.

I believe this would greatly reduce the government’s spending on defence, thus freeing up more money for education and health.

          Brilliant.

The current road safety adverts are scary and depressing. We believed the hedgehogs! They are cool the hedgehogs are!!!

Alright, but the hedgehogs aren’t allowed to sing anymore and have to read off chilling statistical data about road-related casualties and fatalities.

Widen Democracy Because It Is An Anomaly

The voting age should be reduced to 16 – not just to widen democracy but because it is an anomaly that young people who are old enough to pay tax to the government have no influence in electing that government.

Any ten year-old who’s walked to the local corner shop with a couple of quid in hand planning to buy sweets is technically a tax payer. Your logic is flawed.

the goverment want young people to go to work when leaving school the people who cant afford to go to uni or other extra education who want to do the right thing an support themselves get no help as we dont qualify for anything if you are single work full time for minimum wage what can you do you dont qualify for any benefits or council properties to rent unless you wait between 10 and 20 years . the only thing you qualify for is 25%off your council tax its hard to look for further education because if you work full time you are restricted to times and if you finish work at 6 you cant get to collage by 6.30 on public transport so most courses are unavailiable and you have to pay to do them anyway ,so if your struggleing to live on minimum wage how do you pay there needs to be support for people who want to work and help themselves otherwise if they dont know what to do they take the easy way and get others to pay.

Your appalling spelling aside (and I hope one of the classes you’re taking in College is English because, frankly, what the Hell), you do realise you contradict yourself in this petition, right? You say single people don’t qualify for any concessions and then, one run on sentence later, state that they get 25% off of their Council Tax. 25%? That’s almost a quarter!

I am a gay teenager and I have been subjected to bullying at my school in Scotland. But it’s not just in Scotland that bullying of LGBT pupils happens, it’s all over Britain that this sick act happens. Everyone is equal no matter what their sexuality is. All the people who think that it’s unholy, I’m sorry but it’s how God made us, and we are not ashamed. It’s so upsetting being bullied because you are different from someone else because they are straight.. how does that work? They are different to you but would LGBT pupils bully a straight person? No! Because there is no need. I have straight friends so I don’t hate or dislike or disapprove of hetrosexual people. Bullying of LGBT pupil and people is not fun, it’s disgusting and I think the Government should put a stop to this! Love Mark xx

But only for bullying against gay kids. Gingers, fatties, lanky bastards and girls are still ripe for bullying.

I have gone into further educaion but do not recieve EMA as my parents earn above the limit to recieve it. Many students that go to the 6th form that i am studying at, also do not recieve EMA, we all think that people who choose to study in further education believe that we should recieve some money as EMA (£15 – £20) This would help most of the students as it is very hard to find jobs with the current recession that is taking place.

Ah, the self-entitlement that comes with being a student coupled with the self-entitlement that comes with being British. What a potent combination.

People under the age of 18 who have completed their sixth-form education are as aware of the risks of alcohol as those who are over 18 at the time of completion. It is wrong and discriminating that a fixed age should be put on the purchase of restricted products.

Make it so that anyone who completes their sixth-form can legally buy alcohol. People age 17 and a half who have completed their full education are much less likely to overconsume alcohol than someone aged 18 who dropped out of school aged 16.

How do you figure? There’s a difference between being educated, being smart, and being in the know.
