God Is On Your Side When You Support a Killing Machine

This petition is choc-a-bloc with lunacy.

The idea that a nation exists because of its military power is the raison d’etre of neanderthals. Military establishments in the UK since the dark ages have used God’s name in vain when going into battle. God instructs or directs no man to murder another – this is a fallacious Jewish concept alien to Jesus Christ. The God in this context is not the Creator but the Destroyer – God’s enemy. Unbelievers cannot have it both ways. You cannot think that God is on your side when you support a killing machine that murders innocent citizens by the thousands as in Dresden. Coz He ain’t. If you want to support a killing machine then do it as unbelievers, without dragging the name of God into your conscience as a kind of sanitary towel for soaking up the blood from your hands. Choose destruction or life but don’t think that God supports destruction. He doesn’t, not even if the Queen says so. God is not with the Military.

I think the only person who really has a right to complain about having God’s name “dragged through the mud” is probably God, and He’s been decidedly quiet on the subject.

It’s a Private Matter

Dear ,sir iam a soldier currently serving with the household calvary mounted regement.i have done so for 5yrs .early this year i went through some difficulties which made me to sign of from the army.later on i realised i had made a mistake and decided to withdraw my application but this has been refused by all ranks in my regement.the consequences of me leaving the army will be difficult for me and my family .i have two kids and one on the way ,am the only bread winner of my family .if i should leave the army now it would be very disastrous for me and my family.the reason they are giving is over manning in the british army.i know of peopl who were allowed to sign back on.i have about ten months left and hoe you could help me stay

Ignore the horrific spelling and grammar on this petition, as well as his sob story. He’s not the problem here. The problem is the ePetition team, who generally don’t authorise petitions relating to specific cases or personal circumstances. Why they decided to authorise this petition rather than reject it and send the guy an email telling him how bes to go about getting his problem resolved is beyond me.

Beedie’s About

Have you met Reverend Denis G Beedie? No? Nor have I, and I hope to keep it that way. I’ve found six rejected petitions of his on the ePetition site archive, but rather than list them in order let’s start with this one:

by Rev Denis G Beedie (rejected)
UAF are consistently showing a thug-like, aggressive and virulent anti-democratic attitude towards British citizens such as members and supporters of the peaceful English Defence League, the Welsh Defence League and the Scottish Defence League who seek to retain our ancient British Culture and Heritage and prevent It`s overwhelming by forces unpatriotic to our Monarch, Parliament and Nation

The petition was rejected, quite understandably, for containing “potentially libellous, false, or defamatory statements”. But then Beedie decided to submit this petition:

by Rev. Denis G Beedie (rejected)
UAF are consistently showing a thug-like, aggressive and virulent anti-democratic attitude towards British citizens such as members and supporters of the peaceful English Defence League, the Welsh Defence League and the Scottish Defence League who seek to retain our ancient British Judeo/Chrisian Culture and Heritage and prevent It`s overwhelming by forces unpatriotic to our Monarch, Parliament and Nation. This earlier Petition was rejected by Govt-Minders for the following reason(s):Petition Rejected This petition has been rejected because: It contained potentially libellous, false, or defamatory statements. Will the Prime Minister, in the light of recent thuggish and violent behaviour by the UAF at Bolton now acknowledge that Rev Denis G Beedie was declaring the truth in his said Petition and is the P.M now willing to offer an apology to the said Rev Denis G Beedie for the defamatory statement(s) made regarding Rev Denis G Beedie and his earlier Petition?

Oh dear. Not a happy bunny, is he? He’s out of luck though, because this petition was rejected as well. Let’s see what else he’s posted.

Medal Award Schedule: Say soundbite, give medal, die.

The “Hero of the Holocaust” medal is a very worthwhile effort, but why was it presented by a Politician, rather than the Sovereign (especially when the Sovereign was involved with WWII, which the Prime Minister was not).

Future medals should only be presented by the Sovereign to give the full dignity that they deserve, and not by some “temporary” Political figure (after a media sound-bite).

Because the Queen will live forever.

Hey guys! Guys! Look who it is!

Neutral countries have little need for a swollen defense budgets because their non-aggresion policies result in few enemies. All current security threats to this country are as a direct result of our aggressive foreign policies, or those of countries that we are allied to. By adopting a stance of neutrality we would greatly reduce the necessity for such a large defense budget.

Oh wait, no. Sorry. My mistake. It’s just some shithead with a poorly thought-out idea.

There are too many crimes now which consist of murder, homicide, rapists by gangs and disturbing individuals.

Instead of sending them to prison with small sentences or life sentences I consider it would be better to see these people (from 16+) placed into army training grounds, trained and then placed on the front-line.

This might make them realise what they have done wrong and change them into something better!

Or it’ll be the British government putting weapons in the hands of convicted murderers and rapists. I can’t say I particularly approve of that.

We need national service in this country but cant send unwilling youths to war. I believe a force of trained and disciplined rescue and relief workers could be used to help in natural disasters both home and abroad. These people would be trained in a military style except for the weapons training. Instead being used as a force for good without taking the military away from its primary duties. In conjunction with the military the personnel and equipment would be available at a moments notice to be deployed where needed. These conscripts will develop a sense of discipline and worth sadly lacking in todays society, and also develop citizenship skills and skills for life and work in general. There would also be no youth unemployment and youth crime would also fall. Training could be done by ex service personnel and run along the lines of previous generations national service.

If we can’t send unwilling people to kill other people, what on Glod’s green earth makes you think we can send unwilling people to help other people?

Military adverts on the television are inaccurate depictions, that show the military as being a lot less dangerous than it really is. People who join the military will have that image in their head, and will make it even worse for them when they realise how terrible it really is.

Have we been watching the same advertisements?

Go To Your Barracks And Think About What You’ve Done

All of these “enforced National Service” petitions are, I am sure, having a detrimental impact on my blood pressure. I may stop sharing them entirely. For now, though, here’s another one.

by Mr Alan Mann

This may help and / or stop the violence that is currently happening in the UK with respect to other people’s lives. If this was compulsory then it may even make them think before some of their atrocious actions. Incidentally if this became a prerequisite, this law may be helping out more than one person in the future.

Sigh. I need to see a doctor. This isn’t healthy.

(Sidenote: I like to think that Mr Alan Mann is that gormless fella from Little Britain who went into a toy shop looking for a pirate memory game suitable for children between the ages of 4 and 8).

Can’t Hang Around, I’ve Got A Funeral To Attend

The Prime Minister should attend every funeral and honour those men and women who have given their life for the decisions made by him and show respect for their bravery

This is a logistical nightmare at best, and an impractical impossibility at… well, at all. If nothing else, who’d be left to run the wotsit? Thingy, you know… the country?

Teach Our Youth To Be Valuable Members Of Society

Lack of discipline & respect for Society are two major problems afflicting large numbers of young people today. The return of compulsory national service, with military discipline (although not necessarily military training), would teach our youth to be valuable members of society whilst helping various military and voluntary efforts overseas.

Give That Man A Medal! Hey, I’m Feeling Generous – Give Him Two!

by Miss Juliet Morrice

We are aware that our Armed Forces are only awarded a medal for the first tour of each country where they are engaged in combat in defence of our freedom. We believe that this shows no respect or recognition for our soldiers’ bravery in returning a second, third or fourth time (or more!) to a war zone and therefore petition the Prime Minister to express the country’s thanks to our Forces by presenting them with a medal for every tour of duty so that their efforts can be remembered with honour, dignity and respect.

If you keep handing out medals for, y’know, basically doing the job they signed up to do, won’t that sort of devalue them and make giving them out more or less pointless?
