ALL of it and return
to God’s Law

Why the contribution is important
Because if everyone followed the 12 Commandments there would be no need for any legislation and in fact God’s Commandments specifically prohibit us from making our own laws or adding to them so that by making any legislation you are breaking God’s Commandments — think about it

I have thought about it and I’ve concluded that you are a crazy person.

God doesn’t want me paying Income Tax

Some years ago the Inland Revenue created a vast amount of unnecessary work for itself by starting to tax Catholic priests on their “income”. Most of us have very little by way of income (usually just the stipends for the Masses we celebrate) and given our service to people/society status, it seems a little unnecesary to tax us on the little we receive.

Why the contribution is important
It’s important to us priests because we have little enough income as it is without then being taxed. Also, to be honest, we may have moral objections to some of the purposes to which our taxes are applied.

Your “society status” has bugger-all to do with it, you pompous git. You’re earning an income and regardless of what it is you’re doing to earn it you should be taxed upon it. If you’re not earning enough of an income, do what rhe rest of us lot in the unwashed masses do and get a second job or something.

Also, a lot of people have “moral objections” to how taxpayers’ money is spent, but oddly enough that argument doesn’t quite stick when the Revenue send someone over to bust your kneecaps.

Oh, and one more thing:

Matthew 5:42: Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Romans 13:7: Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Seems pretty clear where your God stands on the matter, doesn’t it Neil?

Oh dear. Here we have Debra, a precious little dumpling who seems to think that all legislation is trumped by “God’s Law” – y’know, stone the gays, women to be used as a form of currency, that sort of thing. Debra’s brain exists in that special cerebral universe designed specifically for the sort of person who usually lives in America attending Tea Party rallies, only in this instance she (presumably) lives in the UK, and the only Tea Parties she attends are parties where she drinks tea.

Let’s have a look, then: (more…)

God Is On Your Side When You Support a Killing Machine

This petition is choc-a-bloc with lunacy.

by Mr Mark Golding of Redsky (rejected)
The idea that a nation exists because of its military power is the raison d’etre of neanderthals. Military establishments in the UK since the dark ages have used God’s name in vain when going into battle. God instructs or directs no man to murder another – this is a fallacious Jewish concept alien to Jesus Christ. The God in this context is not the Creator but the Destroyer – God’s enemy. Unbelievers cannot have it both ways. You cannot think that God is on your side when you support a killing machine that murders innocent citizens by the thousands as in Dresden. Coz He ain’t. If you want to support a killing machine then do it as unbelievers, without dragging the name of God into your conscience as a kind of sanitary towel for soaking up the blood from your hands. Choose destruction or life but don’t think that God supports destruction. He doesn’t, not even if the Queen says so. God is not with the Military.

I think the only person who really has a right to complain about having God’s name “dragged through the mud” is probably God, and He’s been decidedly quiet on the subject.

As people from all walks of life, political parties, professions and religious faiths, we the undersigned have joined together to commit ourselves to reaffirm the value and necessity of religious and civil liberty and the rights of conscience across the UK today.

We believe that religion and civil liberty must include the right to live and speak according to one’s conscience privately and in the public sphere, both individually and collectively, without harassment or the fear of civil or criminal penalty.

The proposed employment provisions set out in Schedule 9, Paragraph 2, subsection 8 of the Equality Bill (the occupational requirements relating to sex, marriage and sexual orientation for the purposes of organised religion) mistakenly seeks to deny integrity and authentic practical religion by separating religious belief and observance from behaviour and denies to religious groups rights that are extended to all other organisations, to employ only those who conform to their beliefs, practices and ethos.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a person representing a religious body asking the government for permission to continue discriminating against homosexuals, women, and whatever other groups the various churches find abhorrent on any given Sunday, because being unable to discriminate against them treads on his “religious and civil liberty”.

Frankly, David and each one of the 35,000+ morons who signed this petition can all go and fuck themselves.

This week’s Reject Rednesday takes place on a Saturday, because I want it to. So let us once again trawl through the ePetition site’s Reject Bin and pay heed to the braying and neighing of farmyard animals.

Please stop all migrants entering the UK. This includes our European partners. Residents from Europe should be allowed in at the rate of one UK person leaving – let in someone from Europe. This is a small island that is already overcrowded and we are facing huge unemployment without additional people. The argument that migrants help with work can no longer be used. We the British people are not prejudiced. However, if we are to remain the great nation that we have always been, we need to stop the madness that migration is bringing all over this wonderful country of ours!

Yes, because the “madness” going on in the UK these days is solely because of people clawing their way onto our shores like mindless zombies, hungry for the brains of employment, nourished only by the knowledge that the job they’re doing now has been stolen from a hard-working Brit.

The problem with people like this is that they’re complaining about immigrants taking our jobs in one breath, and then decrying “Benefit Britain” in the next. The irony of this is just sickening.

Yet Another Christmas Petition

Christmas Day is just that, one day,but now seems to last for three months or more. From sofas to food to presents we are bombarded day after day, week after week in the shops and on television from as early as September with companies trying to take money from us for Christmas. They don`t care about us,they just want as much of our money as possible.Quite apart from most people being driven mad, becoming sick and tired of the whole thing,so many people who can least afford it are spending much more than they can afford, causing untold hardship year after year.Indeed, many people are still paying for last Chrismas when the next one is on our screens. This used to be a time of year to look forward to but sadly, few now do. If Christmas was condensed to just the month of December it may re-kindle peoples enjoyment of it,helping them to possibly spend less and bring back the true meaning, which is not to line the coffers of big business. It is,after all, supposed to be a time for us to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Poor guy. He takes this so seriously.

It is proposed that the government make morning assembly compulsory for all 3 to 16 year old schol children. It is vital that young people be allowed to develop the spiritual element of their being. The inward realisation that we are all one is the key to a harmonious world. It is proposed that schools which already have a morning assembly are not interfered with. (There are many roads to god) For schools with pupils of many religions, it is proposed that the assembly should take the form of a spiritual gathering with no teaching of any one religion. All religions share many basic teachings. (it can never be wrong to teach love and respect) It is proposed that the form and content of the assembly be determined by the heads and staff of each school. Every school will have a wealth of spiritual interests to draw from within its staff.(egs.yoga, good breathing technique, relaxation techniques, an awareness of the joy which charitable works can bring etc) The ending of the gatherings should consist of a mutual blessing eg May the long time sun shine upon you All love surround you And the white light within you Guide your way on

It is not the place of the public educational system to tell kids what Gods they should believe in.

It is not the place of the public educational system to tell kids what Gods they should believe in.

I find myself in the rather unique situation of posting a petition that might have been posted by someone related to me. They share my last name, and they’re Pagan. I was raised in a Pagan household even though I’m an Atheist myself. I don’t know if there are any Nigels in our family but I’m going to have to find out now.

But anyway, here it is:

by Nigel Paddon

(Renewal of petition by Moira Stirland)

Pagans across the country have to pay or have only limited/restricted access to ancient Pagan sites of historical and religious interest such as Stonehenge. We call on the government to recognise that members of the Pagan faith should be allowed access to their places of worship in the same way that members of other religions are allowed to.

Additional – UK Census 2011. More visible lobby group.

Except Stonehenge isn’t a church or a mosque, is it? It’d hardly be fair if Pagans were allowed free entry but every other bugger had to pay. And how would you prove you’re a Pagan in the first place? Wear a pentagram? Bring your Book of Shadows with you? Come dressed in your robes? It wouldn’t bloody work, and the only reason the National Trust can afford to do a lot of the reconstruction and maintenance work they’ve done over the years to charge admission.

Christmas should be kept for Christmas.

We feel that Christmas ( as well as our local councils’ finances ) are being destroyed by the over zealous erecting and lighting of Christmas Lights. We feel they should go up no earlier than the 1st Dec. So keeping Christmas for Christmas. More than that, we request that outdoor town and city Christmas lights (council Christmas Lights ) should be taken down by the 12th night so avoiding bad luck and instead spreading Joy.

May the holy father continue to speak the “truth” and may God continue to bless him.

Well at least Mr Bowman had the decency to put the word “truth” in quotation marks.
