There are a lot of people who seem to think that Joanna Lumley, who is perhaps most famous for playing an alcoholic fashion magazine editor for however many years, should be the Prime Minister. Or, at least, receive an honour of some sort for her work with Ghurkkas. Or something. Behold!
Based on her untiring work to defend the noble Ghurkkas, Joanna Lumley should be offered a seat in the House of Lords. She is a true defender of the people.
Joanna Lumley is doing a much better job interpreting public opinion than Gordon Brown or any other member of his administration
Joanna Lumley – talks sense, believes in this country and has a passionate sense of what is right and what is wrong. This is far more important than any other skill required of a politician, and sadly seems to be lacking in the current government and other would-be governments.
Please make Joanna Lumley the actress a Dame in the New Years Honours List to show recognition for her tireless support for the Gurkhas.
And so on. And so on. And so on.
