Dear Gordon: Are You Still Here?

Here is a perfectly sensible petition asking for Gordon Brown’s resignation, albeit with the stupid URL and the intemperate and colloquial phrasing that are the tragic norm for e-petitions.

Mark has heard the phrase ‘vote of no confidence’ on the news and assumes he knows what it means:

We have no confidence in New Labours fiscal policies, and former chancellor Browns claims of fiscal prudence lie in tatters around Darlings feet. Do the honourable thing and resign. If you really believe you have the backing of the people, what have you got to lose?

Ian Holmes does not even begin to understand how this country is governed:

by Ian Holmes (rejected)

The current Prime Minister seized power of the country by deposing the incumbent and duly elected Prime Minister, and then took unlawful control of running the United Kingdom without election by the voters of this country, and as such, to return the country to democratic and lawful rule; he must henceforth call a general election.

Ian Morrison has forgotten the massive clamour for Blair to resign and let Brown take over:

Today’s Pre Budget Report has yet again shown how far this once Great Country has fallen under this Labour Regime, but in particular whilst under the leadership of Mr Brown. With the National Debt set to escalate to over £118 BILLION in the next couple of years it is time to hand the wheel of the ship over to someone else, someone who has been elected by the Public, who is in touch with the Public. Mr Brown was not elected by conventional means, he just happens to be the head of the Labour Party.
For too long this Government has taken and taken from us, and it is time to show them that we are fed up with them. The only way we can make a change is by pushing the issues through means like this, as you can be sure Mr Brown will push the next General Election as far to the right as he can.

Lawrence Cavill doesn’t apparently know anything about anything, including how to spell ‘Gordon’. That is why his petition makes no sense at all.

by Lawrence Cavill (rejected)

Get Labour out!!!

You have no idea what you are doing Gordan, so the sooner you are out the better.

Jade is just very cross in general.

by jade (rejected)
